Letter from Mrs. Ballenger 

My own journey with Sumiton Christian School is deeply personal. My family’s connection began years ago when my younger sibling attended SCS, in its early years, and that legacy continued when I chose this school for my own children. What began as gratitude for the exceptional care, strong academics, and Christ-centered environment my children received starting in preschool led me to join the faculty in 2017, teaching technology to students in grades 1–12. Today, I am blessed to serve as Principal while also remaining a proud SCS parent of three children who have grown up here — now spanning elementary, junior high, and high school. Like so many of our families, SCS is not just a school to us; it is home.

At Sumiton Christian, we believe every child is uniquely created by God and worthy of being known, supported, and challenged. Our teachers are intentional about building relationships, cultivating character, and helping students discover and develop their individual gifts. From our youngest learners to our graduates preparing to take their next steps, we focus daily on instilling biblical values, academic excellence, and a heart for service — equipping students to lead lives of faith, integrity, and purpose.
