Annual Art Show & Competition
Sumiton Christians Annual Art Show features artwork of student from grades K5h - 12th. Artwork featured is anything from line drawings, paintings, sculpture and more. Winners move on to compete in regional, state and national competitions through AISA.

Diamond Dolls
Diamond Dolls are a select group of students who devote countess hours to Eagle baseball. The Dolls work to promote the team, help get fans to the field, decorate team member lockers, helping staff the concessions, keep the gate and most importantly show their school spirit! The Diamond Dolls are a support squad for the Eagle Baseball teams. These girls encourage, support and cheer on the teams at every home baseball game. They show hospitality to all who attend the games. Sign up is held in January each year. Selection is based on teach input. Girls must show responsibility, good attitudes, friendliness, and have a good work ethic.

Little Dribblers
Elementary age student who love the game of basketball can participate in Little Dribblers. Little Dribblers help develop good citizenship, teamwork, leadership and physical fitness while learning the fundamentals of basketball through competition and cooperation.

Homecoming & Homecoming Court
Homecoming is a time to celebrate your school spirit. Students from Preschool thru High School get involved with daily dress-up days, cheering on the SCS Eagles at the Pep Rally, decorating homecoming floats and marching with spirit in the annual Homecoming parade. High School young ladies can also choose to participate in Homecoming Court each year. Candidates will raise money for the athletic and school programs at various times leading up to the Homecoming game and then be elected based on the efforts and by votes of their peers.

Miss Sumiton Christian
Annually Sumiton Christian hosts the Miss Sumiton Christian beauty (all ages) and talent competition (high school students). Female students of all ages can participate by signing up and being committed to representing Sumiton Christian to the best of their ability. Competitions include Tiny Miss, Petite Miss, Little Miss, Junior Miss, Miss SCS Junior High and Miss Sumiton Christian.

Music
Sumiton Christian students can be involved in Music in several different capacities, such as the Chapel Praise Team who come together weekly to lead the elementary and high school students in worship during our chapel service, Choir or elect to take private music lessons in voice, piano and more.

Penny Drop
Penny Drop is an incredibly fun event that merges school spirit and fundraising efforts all into one. Each classroom participates and competes with each other with dress up days, cheers and cash. Positive coins and cash earn points for each team and negative coins and cash can count against the other class teams all while raising funds for the school for new classroom materials, technology equipment and library needs.

Prom Committee
The Prom Committee consists of interested high school students who enjoy event planning. Students will help plan, coordinate, and implement the annual Senior High prom for junior and seniors high students.

Safety Patrol
Students who have a heart for service can volunteer to participate in safety patrol. Safety Patrol students help receive students from their vehicles at drop off with a friendly greeting and help load students in vehicles each afternoon.

Spelling Bee
Our annual Spelling Bee allows our students to compete with other students by spelling a broad selection of vocabulary with a varying degree of difficulty. The purpose of our annual event is to help students improve their spelling, increase their vocabulary, develop correct English usage and understand friendly competition while maintaining a Christ-centered attitude.

Yearbook Staff
The Yearbook Staff consists of students interested in publication and graphic arts. The purpose of the Eagle Claw is to be an accurate historical record of the school year and to provide a sense of pride and school spirit among students, faculty and staff. Students will complete all published pages which includes designing layouts, taking all needed photographs, writing copy and captions, and editing/proof reading work. It is also the responsibility of yearbook staff members to raise money towards the publication of the yearbook with Ad sales, book sales and fundraising.
